Project Bloom is an educational initiative of Kintsugi Goodwill Foundation, created to ensure that children from vulnerable backgrounds are not forced to abandon their education due to financial hardship.
At
present, we are walking alongside 20 school-going children, studying from Class
3 to Plus One, belonging to economically challenged families across Kerala,
Odisha, Punjab, Assam, and Jammu & Kashmir. Among them are 15 girls and 5
boys, each carrying dreams far bigger than their circumstances.
To
uphold child protection and ethical standards, the identities of all children
are kept strictly confidential.
Our Journey So
Far:
Over
the past months, we have been partially supporting these children—here and
there—with small but timely contributions toward school fees, stationery,
uniforms, and urgent academic needs. These interventions, though limited in
scale, have helped prevent interruptions in their education and brought relief
to struggling families.
Our Vision for This Year:
By
the end of this year, our goal is to secure sustainable resources that will
allow us to consistently support at least 20 children through a full academic
year—covering their essential educational expenses with stability and dignity.
The
average annual educational cost per child is approximately ₹50,000,
which includes:
·
School
or college fees
·
Books,
stationery, and uniforms
·
Learning
materials and academic essentials
Why Project Bloom Matters?
Without
steady support, many of these children—especially girls—are at risk of:
·
Dropping
out of school
·
Early
marriage or child labour
·
Losing
the opportunity to pursue higher education
·
Remaining
trapped in cycles of poverty
Project
Bloom exists to say: education should never be a privilege reserved for a
few—it is a right every child deserves.
